Richie Havens - 1941 - 2013
Richie Havens was a politically cool and elegant gentleman. I saw him at Band on the Wall in Manchester about 10 or so years ago, he played for hours and at 60 odd he was still jumping around in his kaftan. Love him so so much, such a shame.
I have absolutely no doubt at all that this film will be exceptional. Levon Helm was a total legend, its probably going to be really sad though.
Ouch! This GOAT remix 12” looks amazing but its only available in Scandinavia, the UK Record Store Day release is only on 7”, why only 7”? I hate 7 inches, they don’t fit anywhere!
I must’ve missed this Captain Murphy (Flying Lotus) video coming out featuring a nice Batman / Michael Caine sample. Doesn’t have the same 70’s funk flavour as The Ritual, but still super sweet. All the tracks DUALITY are on the above sound cloud link.
